We've experienced a delay in our flight home: a woman on our flight from Kona to Dallas went nuts early into the flight. We had to land in LA so she could be arrested by the FBI. We continued on to Dallas, but everyone on the plane missed their connections. We're booked on a 6:30 pm flight to YYZ, but also on standby for a 1:30 pm flight.
Anyhow, DFW is a nice airport, so it could be worse. They have free WiFi, do we're able to stay in touch with Alex and Nick.
Nick's still in the ICU, but is doing very well. He's on medication to control seizures (anticonvulsant or antiflamatory - not sure which). They're running a whole battery if neurological tests, and so far he's checking out fine.
They've analyzed the head CT scan, and this shows a total of four lesions. Two are about 1cm in width, while the other are much smaller. Whether radiation or chemotherapy will be done depends upon what the upcoming chest CT shows. If there are active tumours in the chest, then it's chemo; otherwise, radiation.
Based on our experience with radiation (a month of it, coupled with an utter failure to monitor bloodwork, allowing the cancer to spread explosively through the lungs, progressing to the point that Nick's disease is no longer considered curable), we're not great fans of this option. We have a great deal of faith in Nick's individual doctors, but not so much in the system as a whole. If they go ahead with radiation, we'll monitor the damned bloodwork ourselves! Fortunately, the course of radiation would be for two weeks or less, which is brief enough for a rapid reversion to chemotherapy should Nick's markers continue to rise.

uh, its a virus or bacteria, that is causing this, find out which it is, and blast with antivirols, or antibiotics specifically targeting the germ. I dont know how many times i have to say this before someone believes me. Almost everything is caused by germs. Jimmy Heydon obviously had a bacterial infection which noone did anything for decades and look what happened to him. Its a germ!!!!!!!!!!!! 100 percent know it. get rid of the germ, and he will lead a healthy happy life from here on out.
